Opening up my Second shop!

I’m just on the ball ya’ll! I’m finally opening up my second store and I am so excited to see how it turns out, and to see what better out come it has in store for myself and my family. It will most definitely increase my financial status and my ratings as a Cosmetologist, and I’m ready for it!

I have a few girls and actually two guys in line for the job opportunities I have open, I just need to find the right ones for this job. I like my staff to be upbringing and joyful, ones who can make my customers happy with not only what they pay for, but to want to come again and again to share our wonderful times at my Salon. If your around my area come and see me at Lady Butterflies Salon, hope to see you there!

Family Get Together

Today has been such an eventful to where I don’t even know where to begin. So to make a long story as short as possible, my Grandmother thought it was time for our family to step up and get together for a family reunion she was planning this weekend, which about 87% of our living family attended to. I met so many cousins I had never met before today that it blows my mind, I never thought I had so much family as it turns out I have! It was so nice to reunite with my almost my entire family. I’ll have to continue telling all of my readers what kind of events had happened in my next post, until then always remember family is the most important thing in life and to cherish the times your together.

Air Conditioning Blues

Well, our window unit air conditioner broke last night.  We have a window unit air conditioner in the master bedroom to run at night to keep us cool while we sleep so we don’t have to run the whole house air conditioner all night.  We THINK that will save us money on the electric bill.  We’ve had the unit for about ten years, so I can’t complain too much, we certainly got our money’s worth out of it!  The newer models are probably more energy efficient, too, so I will be going out to buy a new one today!

It’s just never a good time to have to replace something new, you always have to rearrange your budget!  And then there is the hassle of getting the old air conditioner out of the window, and the new one in, and filling in all the gaps so the bugs and the rain stay out!

Recycled Lingerie

I have so many beautiful choices of lingerie, but I have worn almost all of them so many times that I’m tired of them and I don’t want the same look all the time. So what do you do with the lingerie that you want upgraded? I have gone shopping a few times within this last week in search of fabulous new lingerie that will up lift the moments, and I have given the unwanted left overs to the Goodwill hoping that some one else will enjoy a new look for themselves as well. No use in throwing away lingerie that is in perfect condition and that some one else can love as much as my husband and I have.

Hostage issues

Every time I turn on the news I’m hearing about the amazing hostage recovery operation that occurred in Columbia.  The details of the covert operation, infiltration of the organization that held the hostages and how the operation went down are simply amazing!  I was very surprised to learn that some of the hostages had been held now for several years.  I thought most hostages ended up being killed after a short period of time.  I’ve been listening to recounts of how badly the hostages were treated while they were in captivity, with chains around their necks, and it just makes me shudder.

I am so very happy for the hostages and their families that they were rescued, and I have to say that this is ONE thing that has happened that was good during George Bush’s presidency.

Fireworks

Today is the fourth of July, so my hubby and I are going to go find a ton of fireworks to set off at my parents house in Virginia. After we set off a few fireworks ourselves, we’re planning on going to the park down the street from my parents house and drink a few beers while watching their fireworks go off. Its going to be so much fun to party with my parents and a few old friends!

I have already bought like six packs of beer and 2 huge liquor bottles of Bacardi 151 and Captain Morgan, yes we are getting that wasted! I mean why not, its a huge celebration everyone celebrates! I love the fact that my husband and my Father both love explosions, just for the fact both of them had served in the military, so when they set off or just watch the fireworks they seem to get closer as Father and Son-In law, the way it should be.

Maybe Moving

My hubby and I have been discussing the probability of us moving to a larger house, so we can maybe start our family that we have been getting ready for all these years. I’m hoping to move around this same area so I can keep up with my business, and also keep my relationships with my close friends here so close. Tomorrow we’ll probably go and check out a few Realtors to see what they have available, I’m really excited to get our own house finally after renting so many different places for so darn long. We’ll see what happens in time and hopefully it wont take that long.

Sunday dinner served on Tuesday

Well I thought it was going to be a simple dinner, but it turned out to be a better than average one tonight.  I had some chicken thighs in the refrigerator that needed to be cooked up.  So they went into the oven with the Bisquick oven-fried chicken recipe.  While that was cooking I put some refrigerator biscuits in to cook in the toaster oven, and some Bob Evans mashed potatoes went into the microwave, along with fat free chicken gravy and some peas.

Turned out to be having a Sunday dinner on a Tuesday night and my husband had no complaints about it either!

Get that garbage out of here!

Today has been a long day with non-stop cleaning for my husband and I because we were tired of looking at a cluttered mess when we returned home from work each and every day. All we have been doing is gutting our entire house and trashing almost half of our stuff that we thought we would need later in our lives, but realized we were never going to be in need almost all of it.

Instead of trashing all of our unwanted things, we logged onto the Internet and had went to a website called FreeCycle, through Yahoo, that anyone can go to, and sign up to give away or take unwanted things from whomever on the site. This website is a pretty cool way to get free things you really need for whatever purpose or to just give away your unwanted things to someone who is in need of whatever it may be your throwing away.

For example, a women who wanted to get rid of a huge dresser and coffee table, posted them on this site and we sent her an online message telling her we were in need of a coffee table and had known someone else who was in need of a nice sized dresser. The next day we had a response back letting us know it was still available and we are welcome to pick it up. Luckily she lived only a half an hour away, so we didn’t spend much on the ride there and back for these items. Just give it a try and sign up, and remember “One mans trash, could very well be another mans treasure.”

Disney World!

My husband and I wanted to do something we haven’t done before, and we both thought of so many ideas, but one that stuck was to go to Disney World in California! My husband and I are like big kids and love to experience things that we never had the chance to experience when we were both younger. We are planning on taking a plane for this trip, just for the fact that gas is so outrageous and we don’t want to run our cars down to quick on mileage.

I’m trying to get it to where my younger sister and my oldest niece can go  along with us, but I don’t know how that is going to turn out, because they both have jobs and I have absolutely no idea what their schedule’s are like, I’m waiting to hear back from them both tonight. If they cant then its fine, it just means more time for my husband and I to spend together, but we did want to bring younger family along with so they enjoy the experience as well. I hope everything pans out just right, I want to make so many new fun and happy memories for us.
